Madawi Al-Rasheed is a Visiting Professor at the Middle East Centre at the London School of Economics and Political Science and a Research Fellow at the Open Society Foundation. Her research interests include gender, religion and politics, with a focus on the Arab Gulf and especially Saudi Arabia, as well as Islamist movements and the anthropology of Muslim societies.
